Abstract

In the rapidly evolving digital era, competition among brands is increasingly shaped by customer experience across digital touchpoints rather than products and prices alone. This study aims to examine how digital customer experience contributes to digital loyalty and brand strengthening. Using a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) approach, the study synthesizes five empirical studies published between over the last five years focusing on digital experience, customer engagement, and brand loyalty. The findings indicate that personalized, accessible, seamless, and consistent digital experiences enhance customer satisfaction, trust, and emotional connection with brands. Customer engagement serves as an important mechanism linking digital experience to digital loyalty through active interaction, participation, and brand advocacy. However, inconsistencies across digital channels, information overload, intense competition, and low switching barriers remain key challenges to sustaining loyalty. The study concludes that digital loyalty strategies based on meaningful experiences, authentic engagement, and brand consistency can strengthen long-term competitive advantage. Organizations should therefore integrate technology with human-centered, adaptive, and value-oriented digital strategies to build sustainable customer relationships.
